The windshield is the biggest piece of glass you own and it takes the most sun on an I-40 commute. A clear ceramic film cuts the heat without darkening the view, and it stays legal.

HeatCeramic film blocks infrared, which is the part of sunlight you feel. The cabin cools down faster and the air conditioning stops fighting the glass.
UV99% UV rejection. That is the part that burns skin on a long drive and the part that fades a dashboard until it cracks.
GlareLow sun coming over the ridges is the worst of it here. Film cuts the glare without making the road harder to read at night.
PrivacyWhat is on your back seat stops being everybody's business in a parking lot.
InteriorLeather, vinyl and plastic all give up under direct sun. Film buys the interior years.
GlassFilm holds broken glass together instead of letting it come apart into the cabin.
Our shop is in Canton, about twenty minutes from Asheville on I-40, and it is where every install happens. One controlled space, the right lighting, and the same small crew on every car. Land Rover of Asheville sends us their tinting, which is not a decision a franchise store makes lightly.
Devon Cabe opened the doors in 2021 and still trains every technician himself. More than 5,000 vehicles later we are sitting on 50+ five-star reviews, and the thing customers mention most is how fast they got their car back.
Devon and our staff take great pride in our work and taking care of our customers, and none of this feels like work to us. We are car enthusiasts. Getting to do this for our neighbors every day is a privilege. By enthusiasts, for enthusiasts.
"Awesome customer service and overall experience. Devon and Nico did an amazing job. Only tint shop I can recommend in the Asheville Area. Uses top of the line products and has the skills to handle the most challenging windows."

The difference between a tint job that lasts and one that peels is almost entirely in the prep and the cut. Here's what happens while we have your vehicle.

Call ahead and we will have a slot ready when you arrive, so the drive over is not wasted. We hold samples against your own glass and settle the shade before anything is cut.

Window sills come off and every piece of glass is cleaned to a contamination-free surface. This is the step cheap installs skip, and it is why their tint has specks in it a year later.

Film is plotter-cut to your exact year and model. When the software has no pattern for it, which happens on older and imported cars, we hand-cut it so there are no light gaps.

Film goes on below the sills and gets heat-shrunk where the glass curves. Full inspection before the keys go back in your hand, because you are not driving back over for a redo.
Give it two days before you roll the windows down. A little haziness or a few moisture pockets in the first week are normal and cure out around day seven. If they don't, bring it back and we'll take care of it.
Side and rear windows need at least 35% light transmission, and a meter reading over 32% is conclusively presumed legal. Reflectance has to be 20% or less, and film cannot be red, yellow or amber. Windshields can only be tinted along the top, to five inches down or the AS-1 line, whichever is longer.
The exemption most people miss: on a pickup, minivan or most SUVs, every window behind the driver is exempt from both limits. That is why factory privacy glass is legal well below 35%.
Since December 2025 tint is no longer checked at the state safety inspection. The limits did not change, and driving on illegal tint is still a Class 3 misdemeanor. Full NC tint law breakdown.
That is your call, and it is about twenty minutes on I-40. What we would say is that most jobs are finished the same day, so it is one trip rather than two. Drop the vehicle in the morning and it is usually ready that afternoon. Two Asheville franchise dealerships decided the drive was worth it for their own inventory.
No. We have one shop, in Canton, and everything is installed there. That is deliberate. One controlled space means the right lighting, no dust blowing through an open bay, and the same two or three people doing the work every time. We would rather you drive to a clean install than have us set up a second location that dilutes it.
The lower the number, the darker the film. We stock 5% for a fully blacked-out look, 15% and 20% in the middle, and 35% and 70% when you want heat rejection without much visible change. Most people match their fronts to their factory rears and put a lighter ceramic on the windshield. Bring the vehicle by and we will hold samples against your glass.
For heat, yes. Ceramic rejects far more infrared at the same shade, which is what you feel sitting in traffic on Patton Avenue in August. It also stays optically clearer, so night driving does not get worse as you go darker. Carbon is the honest budget option and it will not fade or turn purple. Both carry the same lifetime warranty.
Most vehicles are done the same day. A full car of tint is typically a few hours. Give it two days before you roll the windows down, and expect a little haziness or a few moisture pockets in the first week. Those cure out around day seven. If they do not, bring it back.
Our window tint carries a lifetime warranty against bubbling, peeling, cracking, fading and turning purple. It is our warranty, not the film manufacturer's, and it covers you for as long as you own the vehicle. The only thing that voids it is the film being tampered with. If something is not right, bring it back.
